Anthony John Cimino, 85, of Pocasset, passed away in Falmouth Hospital on Thursday, June 23, 2022. He died of Bone marrow failure. He was a teacher and principal in the Milford School System. He was also in the National Guard, rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. While serving at Camp Edwards, he wrote a history of the base. He retired from the Guard in September of 1999. He then became a Cape Cod Tour guide, boarding buses for trips to Boston, Newport, and Cape Cod destinations, giving talks to the tourists. He did this for 13 years.
He leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Mary Jean Chauvin, formerly of Webster, MA, his son Andrew of Springfield, his son Gerry of Hyannis, and his daughter Valerie of Boston. He also leaves behind his sister Roseann of Uxbridge, his brother Joseph of Milford, his sister Florine of St. Augustine, plus numerous cousins and many friends.
A visitation for Anthony will be held Friday, July 1, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne, Massachusetts 02532, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. There will follow a luncheon at Bucatino's in Falmouth.
