Alison was born in Portland, Maine, on September 2, 1922 to the late Henry and Alice (Goudy) Farley. She attended Falmouth High School in Maine and was a secretary for 28 years at John Hancock Life Insurance Company in Boston.
Retiring in 1985, she and her husband Bruce moved to Falmouth, MA. where she spent many hours in her flower gardens. She was an avid reader and always had a book with her. She was a member of the Society of Mayflower Descendants.
She is survived by her son, Alan E. Otash and his wife, Jean, of North Attleboro. She was "GG" to her grandson Scott Otash and his wife, Margaret of Basking Ridge, N.J., her granddaughter, Karen (Otash) Arabian of No. Attleboro and her great grandchildren, Jack and Gavin Arabian and Ethan and Victoria Otash. She leaves many loving nieces.
A special word of appreciation to her "Branches" family for the loving care and dedication they gave her for the last 12 months.
Services will be held privately at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne where she will be buried with her husband Bruce. Arrangements are entrusted to Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home in Bourne, MA. Donations in Alison's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
