He grew up with his parents, Anne and Bill Brice, and his siblings, Vickie, Mike, and Shirley. As a young man, Patrick became passionate about ceramics and shooting pool. His friendly, outgoing nature was one of his endearing qualities; he could get anyone’s life story within a few minutes. In turn, he would happily tell you his.
At the age of twenty two Patrick moved to Chicago, where he eventually started his furniture business, Chrome Yellow. Chrome Yellow was one of the first waterbed stores in the city of Chicago, and later became the premier contemporary furniture store in the area. Through hard work and a friendly attitude, Patrick made the store a long standing success.
Chicago was also where he met his wife Victoria, and they were married in 1989. They have two children, Kaelie and Joseph. Patrick and his family moved to Boulder, Colorado in 2008, where they enjoyed mountain living with their German Shepherd, Bear.
Patrick never met a stranger, and often charmed friends with his quick wit. He was always the first to offer a helping hand, and built lifelong friendships he kept in touch with. His family and friends will miss his positive attitude and his sharp sense of humor.
His family celebrated his life privately in Boulder. A celebration will be planned for a later date this year. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.cristmortuary.com for the Brice family.
