John, you have been gone from us for three years. We miss your smile, joy, and laughter. Rest easy old friend!

Mr. Reeke was my 5th grade teacher at Betty Adams Elementary. He put me and a couple other kids in an advanced class, and he was always firm but fair, because he saw so much potential in us. I'm heartbroken to hear of his passing.

I sure miss that boy. SOOOOOO dang funny, always had me in stitches when he would stop by!=) This is how he was and this is how I will always remember him- laughing, smiling, and telling jokes. May he rest in peace. Resting and never ever forgotten. GOD speed sir John.

John was my roommate in Boulder at 120 S. 42nd Street and 3505 Morehead Ave. He was one of my favorite people in the world. We had recently gotten back in touch and I was lucky to have spoken with his sister a year or so ago. My heart is broken and my thoughts are with the Reeke family. I'm so very sorry. I am devastated and saddened with Johns passing. He was like a brother to me, practically lived part time at our house growing up. I want to extend my absolute sincere condolences to the Reeke family. John was a special soul that touched so many with his charisma and his personality. He was very funny always kept me laughing when i saw him. He will be extremely missed and it is my belief that he is with us and is only a conversation away. Thank you for allowing me to post. The very best to the family during this painful time. May you find peace and be well.

I’m sending so much deep compassion to John’s family and friends. Our time together was brief but important. I truly wish his soul safe passage to everlasting peace and permanent memory.
