Gary Franklin Falkenstein of Boulder, CO passed away Friday, June 5, 2020; age 75; loving husband of Marguerite for 54 years; dedicated father of Kevin Falkenstein, Stephanie (Josh) Gaydos, and Suzanne (Mike) McKee; cherished grandfather of Elise and Sydney Falkenstein, Makenzie and Kayla Gaydos, and Madilyn and Spencer McKee.
Gary was born August 24, 1944 in Sturgis, MI to Elmer and Marjorie Falkenstein. He has lived in Boulder, CO for the past 25 years. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Michigan State University and had an enormous impact on the horticulture industry, most notably in his role as President of Fischer USA where he led the charge in implementing major innovations.
Gary will be remembered by all as a kind, loving man who embraced life with enthusiasm and joy. He had a gift of welcoming people into his life with open arms — he loved deeply, laughed infectiously, and gave generously.
