Pui Lam Yen

Pui Lam Yen, of Boston, MA, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 30, 2023, at the age of 86. He leaves behind his loving wife of more than 50 years, Iok Lin Yen, who cared for him in his final days. Born in Taishan, China, Pui Lam immigrated with his young family, including his mother, in 1977 from Hong Kong to Boston. Pui Lam, a trained shoemaker, became a Chinese restaurant chef to support his family, working six days a week. He leaves behind a loving family including his daughter Anita, son Danny and his wife Nancy, son Adam and his wife Alison, and their children Gloria and Gabriel. He is survived by his sister Xiu Zhang and her son Jian Hua Zhang, his dear niece Jean and her husband Patrick Chow, and dear nephew Gordon Yee and his wife Lucia. Pui Lam is preceded in death by his parents and his oldest sister Chun Wa Yee.

The family will receive visitors on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at JS Waterman-Langone Chapel, 580 Commercial Street, Boston, MA 02109 from 9-11 AM followed by a funeral service at 11 am with a procession to Forest Hills Cemetery, 95 Forest Hills Ave, Boston, MA 02131.
