Peng Chuan Chai

CHAI, Peng Chuan, age 75, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2014. Beloved husband of Julie Chai. Devoted father of Sook Fan and husband Al Cadwell, Sook Kueen, Sek Meng and wife Ying Liu, Sek Loong and wife Ritta Thai, Sook Kuan and husband Dan Opitz, Beck Chen and wife Karena. Loving grandfather of Hannah and Sarah Cadwell, Aaron, Adam and Jason Chai.

Born of humble roots in Port Kelang, Malaysia, he followed a strong calling for a better life for his family in the US. He was a renaissance man, having roles from general contractor, restaurateur, to entrepreneur. He was an avid sportsman of golf. Known to many as Peter Chai of Woburn, MA, he befriended many, and he touched and enriched the lives of all who knew him.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to join the family during visiting hours on Monday, September 15 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Boston Harborside Home of JS Waterman & Son-Waring-Langone, Boston, MA. Funeral service on Tuesday, September 16, family will receive relatives and friends at 8:00 a.m. followed by a service at 9:30 a.m. A procession to St. Michael Crematory will follow.
