Jane Louise Comtois, 74, passed away on July 9, 2024, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA, after a brief illness. She was born on October 14, 1949, in Newport, Vermont, the daughter of Louis and Arlene (Turner) Rocheleau.
Jane graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Newport, Vermont, Class of 1967. She then studied at Fanny Allen School of Nursing and became an LPN. She married her high school sweetheart, Marcel Comtois, on July 27, 1968, and had three children.
Jane dedicated her life to her family. She enjoyed painting folk art, listening to music, and practicing yoga. Her creativity, compassion, strength, and sense of humor will be carried on through her surviving family members. They include her husband, Marcel Comtois; son, Marc Comtois, and his wife, Gail, of Warwick, Rhode Island; daughters, Jana Krause and her husband Joseph, of Boston, Massachusetts; Beth Richards and her husband David, of Gorham, Maine; and eight grandchildren, Ben, Margaret, Abigail, Mary, Jack, Charles, Peter, and Phoebe.
