Concetta "Connie" Tarantino

Concetta “Connie” Tarantino, 99 years of age, of Boston’s North End, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2013. Connie was a devoted member of the St. Lucy Society, member of the Secular Franciscan Order, volunteer for the St. Damien Society, and a Board member at the Casa Maria Housing.

Beloved daughter of the late Antonetta (Tirella) and Luigi Tarantino. Loving sister of the late Rachel Risoldi, Mary Contardo, Tony, John, Louis, and George Tarantino and Helen Muscarella. Sister-in-law of Betty Tarantino and Sal Muscarella. Loving aunt of the late Frank Risoldi, Jr; Second mother to her nieces and nephew, the Contardo children: Mary Ann & Cal, Claire & Lee, Teresa & Andrew, Leonard & Joanne, and Annette & the late Richard. Also survived by many loving nieces & nephews and special friends Corinne and Geno Testa.

Funeral from the Boston Harborside Home, 580 Commercial St, Boston, on Saturday, November 2 at 8:45AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Leonard Church, corner of Prince & Hanover Streets at 9:45AM. Family will be accepting visitors on Friday from 4pm to 8pm. Interment at St. Michael Cemetery, Boston, M A. Donations may be made in Connie’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
