She was born to Yue Wah Au and Cho Wing Choy in Zhongshan City, China, on July 4, 1936.
After graduating from Guangzhou Teachers College in 1958, she met and married Leung Szeto after relocating to Hong Kong the following year. She started working at the Universal Candle Company in Hong Kong, eventually rising to become the factory production supervisor. She and her husband raised three children.
Many years later, Choi Ming and their adult children emigrated to Boston in 1986, joining her husband Leung who had arrived a few years prior. After working for several years at a garment factory, she devoted her time in retirement caring for her three grandchildren. Mr. Szeto passed away in 2002.
Choi Ming will be remembered as a kind and gentle soul whose smile and selfless actions gave comfort to others.
She is survived by her three sisters Sing Ping, Bak Yin, and May Yin Choy of Hong Kong; her three children Eric, Sunita, and Patrick and their spouses Winnie, Leonard, and Peggy, respectively; grandson Anthony and his wife Mian; and granddaughters Emily and Kerri.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, December 27, 2024 from 9:30am to 11am in the funeral home, with a Funeral Service to begin at 11am.
