Jerry P. Harlan, 95, of Boonville, Missouri died Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at University Hospital in Columbia, MO. There will be a burial at Walnut Grove Cemetery on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. David Mackey officiating.
Jerry was born February 21, 1928, in Fairbury, Nebraska, the son of Floyd and Jessie Palmer Harlan. Jerry enlisted in the U.S. Navy at age 18 before completing high school. After serving his country Jerry returned home, completed his high school education, and then attended Finlay School of Architecture to complete his education. He designed and supervised the construction of 30 rural hospitals in Missouri and ended his career at the University of Missouri, leading the architectural team. He retired in 1992.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Carol, his wife, Elaine of 57 years, and his siblings, Floy Binns, Jean Boyd, and Mike Harlan.
