Tommy was born February 14, 1946 in Booneville to Hoyt and Micky Box. He graduated in 1964 from BHS, then attended NEMJC, and graduated from Ole Miss with a degree in computer engineering. .
Tommy worked to earn his way through school. He and his brother Bill could be seen every day pushing their lawn mowers around Booneville to their next job.Tommy also was employed by various businesses during this time, earning the respect of employers and customers as dedicated and hard working.
Tommy’s humble, kind, caring nature endeared him to all whose lives he touched. He was an avid reader and great student of history, with a natural intellectual curiosity for learning, and he enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others. He loved helping people in any way he could. Tommy enjoyed his motorcycles and his gun collection.
Tommy is preceded in death by his parents and his brother William Hoyt Box, and is survived by several cousins and countless friends. The family wishes to thank Bubba Pounds, and the many friends who helped care for Tommy. You are truly a blessing.
Visitation will be at McMillan Funeral Home in Booneville on Friday September 27 at 10:00 AM with service at 11:00 AM.
