Shirley Frances DeJohn

Shirley Frances DeJohn, 96, of Senatobia, MS, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024 at the Senatobia Health and Rehab. She was of the Baptist faith. She loved sewing and reading. Shirley married Samuel F. DeJohn, Jr. She was a teacher and her and her husband both retired in Oxford, MS.

A visitation with family and friends to share memories and celebrate Shirley’s life will be on Thursday, October 10, 2024 beginning at 2:00 P.M. at McMillan Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Osborne Creek Cemetery.

She is survived by her cousins, Sharon “Sherry” Whitehurst Raines, Matt Smith, Bucky Smith, Sonya Smith Gilley, Brenda Smith Caldwell and BJ Smith.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Edna Smith Howser; her husband, Samuel F. DeJohn, Jr.; her brother, Clyde Howser, Jr. and a half-brother, Tommy Burress.
