Jerry Lane Carpenter, 60, of Booneville, died Friday, August 27, 2011 at his home. He was born March 31, 1951 to Johnny and Jimmie Hendrix Carpenter. He attended North Mississippi Church of God and Christ and was a disabled carpenter.
Funeral services will be 3:00 pm on Monday, August 29, 2011 at North Mississippi Church of God and Christ with Bro. Curtiss Featherston officiating. Burial will be in the Dodds Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Nelda Grace Williams Carpenter; his mother, Jimmie Carpenter of Booneville; one daughter, Sandra Lynn Carpenter of Booneville; one son, Gary Matthew Carpenter of Booneville; two brothers, Eugene and Edward Carpenter both of Booneville; four grandchildren, Payton Carpenter, Destiny Carpenter, Johnny Carpenter, and Johnathon Staggs.
He is preceded in death by his father, Johnny Carpenter and two brothers, Tommy and Curtiss Carpenter.
Visitation will be from 5-9 pm on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at North Mississippi Church of God and Christ, and until service time on Monday.
