James Henry Hoard

James Henry Hoard, 79, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born November 29, 1935. He was a member of Little Creek Missionary Baptist Church. He was a United States Air Force Veteran.

Funeral service will be 2:00PM Saturday, November 14, 2015, at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Kenneth Bishop officiating. Burial will be in the East Prentiss Cemetery.

He is survived by one son, Larry (Mae) Hoard of New Site; one daughter, Lisa (Rick) Gray of Huntsville, AL; four brothers, L.V. (Louise) Hoard of Eudora, Hoarce Hoard of Booneville, Troy (Denise) Hoard of Booneville and Roy (Kathy) Hoard of Hickory Flat; two sisters, Evelyn Hunkapiller of Baldwyn and Peggy (Johnny) Glenn of Baldwyn; seven grandchildren, J.T. Hoard, Krystan Hoard, Hannah Gray, Lauran Gray, Ashley Hamblin, Bradley Hamblin and Courtney Moore and one great grandchild, Cason Hamblin.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Hoard; his mother, Ollie Evelyn Vandevander; one brother, Jesse Hoard and one sister, Myrtie Sartin.

Pallbearers will be Shawn Hoard, Shane Hoard, Jimmy Hunkapiller, Anthony Hoard, Tommy Aldridge and Michael Brasel.

Visitation will be from 5:00PM – 8:00PM Friday, November 13, 2015 at McMillan Funeral Home until service time at the funeral home.
