Hazel Short

Hazel Moore Short, 87 passed away Saturday, May 17,2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. She was born September 12, 1926, to William Shelton and Annie Elizabeth Fuller Moore. She was a Baptist. She worked at Lucky Star, Blue Bell and Prentiss manufacturing before retiring. She enjoyed babysitting, sewing, working in her yard, but most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a giving, selfless person who lived to please those around her.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 19, 2014, at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ray Hall officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pisgah Church Cemetery.

She is survived by one daughter, Shirley (Ronnie) Clark of Marietta; two sons, Danny (Debra) Short of New Site and Gary Short of Marietta; five grandchildren, Ronald (Gichelle) Clark, Joey (Molly) Clark, Cary Clark, Kevin (Melissa) Short and Memory (Matt) Stanford; nine great-grandchildren, Austin Short, Alexis Short, Trace DuVall, Allie Grace Stanford, Cara Clark, Christy Clark, Jordyn Clark, Josie Clark and Case Clark; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Arlis Short; and her parents.

Pallbearers are Ronald Clark, Joey Clark, Kevin Short, Matt Standford, Austin Short, Cary Clark, Trace DuVall and Case Clark.

Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
