Elizabeth Olene Jackson

Elizabeth Olene Jackson, 82, passed away Monday, October 17, 2016 at Mississippi Care Center of Alcorn County in Corinth. She was born January 28, 1934, to Percy Herbert and Minnie Brown Tedford. She was a member of Carter’s Chapel Church of Christ. She enjoyed sewing, painting, gardening and growing flowers. She was a great organizer.

A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at McMillan Funeral Home with Minister Jim Foster and Mr. Pete Prentiss officiating. Burial will be in Jumpertown Cemetery.

She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Regina “Liz” Dees and Shelia (Jim) Foster; five sisters, Janice Ross, Eva Prentiss, Nancy Griffith, Pat Yates and Katherine Robertson; three grandchildren, Alisha (John) Basham, Susan (David) McCoy and Chris Dees; and four great-grandchildren, Jacy McCoy, Christian McCoy, Kodi Basham and Bratcher Basham.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Jackson in 2012; one daughter, Tammie Jackson; her parents; and three sisters, Faye Ross, Margaret Koon and Jimmie McVey.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
