Lionel John Katz, 63, of Naples, Florida passed away on June 11, 2024. He was born in 1960 on September 15th in Cherokee, North Carolina. He was married to Jennifer Katz for 33 years on April 20, 1991. Born in Raleigh, North Carolina, he was the son of Allen and Freda Katz. He graduated from Dwight Morrow High School in Englewood, NJ. John had a career in Carpentry and Publix Supermarket.
He was an active member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and the Carpenter Union in Naples, Florida.
John was passionate about family, dogs, sports, rock n roll music, and ancient aliens. John’s favorite activities were going to the Tampa Bay Ray games, cheering on his daughters, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer; daughters, Samantha (Zachary) Kellogg and Emily; doggies Peyton, Parker, and Chloe.
John would like to be remembered for his love of his family and doggies. He was the one in the room who could make people smile and laugh. John was always willing to lend a helping hand and is known as the dog whisperer.
The family will privately hold the Celebration of Life.
