Rick & I have been friends since our time stationed together on the USS Dixon (AS-37) in 1973. He is the finest human being that I have ever known & he is like a brother to me. Earth is a lesser place with his passing & heaven is better with him there where I am sure God has reserved a special place for him.  Our Naval careers paralleled up until our retirements. Dick was such a great brother In law. We would go out to lunch and Phil and him would always have a great debate. The longer they debated the louder Dick would get. He would get so excited and Phil would have to tell him to quiet down. I always enjoyed going to lunch with him. 
I loved him and will always miss him. 

My Uncle Dick was such a wonderful uncle. He was always so nice, compassionate and so jolly. His laugh would light up a room. Over the last six months we have been texting a lot. He would share beautiful memories of my dad. He recently sent me a video of him and his brothers blowing bubbles for Missy. I watch the video daily just to hear his laugh, see my dad and hear Uncle Dennis deep voice. I will treasure that video forever. It’s hard to believe that they have all passed away, but I know that they are all together once again. Until we meet again.. Love You

It was always a treat when I could get together with my three cousins:  Denny, Dick, and Phil.  It’s hard for me to believe they have passed away.  I miss Dick’s broad smile and wonderful sense of humor.  I wish we hadn’t lived half a continent apart so we could have spent more time together.  Now they have joined their parents and our shared grandparents.  I look forward to seeing them all again when Jesus calls me home.

To My Wonderful Brother-In-Law Richard Madison Rest in Peace. He was my younger Sister Husband. He was kind, outgoing, funny and jolly always smiling. We will surely missed you.

Dick was always a person with a smile and a kind word to say to any he was talking to. He loved to talk about his career in the Navy.
He  had lots of things to tell about his time in the service and his love of Navy  .  He has a wonderful wife and daughter who were the love of his life.  Dick you will be missed and loved.  God's blessings to the family who are my family too.

Uncle Dick was truly the Uncle I was close to. He was my twin. We had some good times taking walks, playing zim zam, camping with the family. I'm hoping to find pictures of those. He always had some great stories from his years in the Navy.  It was always a treat for him to visit us.  He was kind, outgoing, funny and always smiling. He always found the positive in life.  I will miss all three of the Madison brothers. Without them, I wouldn't be the person I am today! I love you Dad, Uncle Dick, and Uncle Phil.

Uncle Richard was such a lovely person, and wonderful husband of my Ate Lili. The love they had for each other was beautiful, and will always be. I felt so at home with him, whenever I would visit my relatives in San Diego. Even though I had only met him in person 2016, it feels like I had known him longer than that, as we had gotten along so well, along with my Ate Lili. He would accept me graciously with open arms every time. I will always remember him fondly.
