Milady Sy Quito, 47, of Los Angeles, CA, passed away on November 11, 2020. She was born in Okinawa, Japan, on January 8, 1973. She is survived by her mother, Milagros Quito, of San Diego, CA; devoted sisters, Helene Jolly (Tony Jolly) of San Diego, CA, and Carolyn Quito (Chris Drake) of Dublin, CA; and loving nephews and nieces, Derek and Leia Jolly, and Lei Anh, Cruz and Jett Drake.
Milady was a loving daughter, a generous sister, a doting and fun-loving auntie, and a loyal friend. As a life-long educator, and as principal at Independence Elementary, she dedicated her life to enriching the lives of her students and her community. Milady will be dearly missed by family, friends, co-workers, and students alike.
On November 25, the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for an outdoor (social distancing) memorial and viewing at Glen Abbey Mortuary. Masks are required. A Catholic service will begin at 12 p.m. Following the service, family and friends are welcome to say a few words in celebration of Milady’s life until the memorial service concludes at 2 p.m.
