Mary Elena Turner

Mary Elena Turner, age 81, of National City, California passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2022. Mary was born December 11, 1940 in National City, California, she peacefully passed away in her home after battling cancer for 8 years surrounded by family and loved ones.

Mary was born on December 11th, 1940, in Brawley, CA. After graduating High School in 1959, she went to San Diego State University where she became a pre-K teacher at the National School District. Mary loved to travel to Missouri to their second home where she loved to antique shop for old dishes and furniture. Mary also loved to quilt, sew, and cook.

Mary was predeceased by her parents, Jose and Margaret, her husband, Lynn, and her daughter, Margie. She leaves behind her daughter, Karen, and 2 sons, Michael and Jedidiah. She was also a proud grandmother and great-grandmother to many. She also leaves behind a large family full of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Mary will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Glen Abbey Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902. A funeral service will occur Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902. A committal service will occur Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902.
