Im Tina ,niece  of tita Marilyn,..tita is my very early  constant chatmate ,she would preferred video chat..she call almost every week just to check on us me and my 2 boys and the rest of the clan here in the philippines..asking if we  are all ok ,reminding us about our health and if we need anything she would gladly help not just to us but to everyone in need..i will miss our travel  coz i was always her travel buddy whenever she plans to have vacation here in the philippines..thank you tita for all the help and support and for not letting me miss mommy so much because  you were always there ,your like a 2nd mom to us( aside to tita che)..thank you thank you  tita, i know you will continue to watch over us .. we.love  you dearly

The week after my first communion, we went to a cousin’s wedding. I was excited to receive communion like the adults! But when I reached the priest, he assumed I looked too young and gave me a blessing instead of the host. After the ceremony, I was crying because I thought I was bad and didn’t deserve to receive communion. Seeing my tears Tita Marilyn comforted me, then spoke with the priest. Soon after, the priest prepared and blessed a single host and allowed me to have my own private communion.

Tita Marilyn was always happy to share in her faith. After she started getting the hang of using Facebook messenger, she’d send me messages with some sort of prayer or blessing nearly every month. After meeting my boyfriend (now husband) just once, he received the same. She would also give him Christmas wishes, advice on becoming Catholic, and generally made him feel more like part of the Cordero family.

Tita Marilyn was kind, prayerful, and fun-loving. My dad fondly remembers his manang as the Catholic crusader of the family. My mom considered her the family torchbearer: the one who kept in touch with everyone and passed along all the family information. Tita Marilyn, you will be greatly missed and always loved!

Tita  Marilyn  is my aunt  my  confidant, my friend, my spiritual friend  who always give good advice  especially  when I need  guidance. She always  here when we need a friend or a family  to hold our hands in times of need  and sorrow.  I will miss our weekly  talk and laughter  I LOVE YOU  TITA.. now your in God's  hands watching  us.

Ever since I was little, Mama Lyn has always been another grandma in my life. She was so sweet and encouraged me and my cousins to always love one another and to always pray. I admired her dedication to her faith and was proud to show her that my kids knew their prayers too. She would tell me every time we’d see her that it made her happy that the girls knew their prayers. 

Mama Lyn, thank you for being so thoughtful when it came to me and my kids. I’m so happy I have many rosaries from you as keepsakes and I will never forget the time you surprised us and drove to my house to drop off your favorite Taco Bell for the kids. I will miss your smile and gentle hugs. Love you Mama Lyn. 

Mama Lyn always gave us $5 when we visit. She loves her prayers. She was very kind. We love you Mama Lyn!
