Many times and many decades ago, my uncle Manuel, Luz, and Marilu, would come visit us in Long Beach or welcome us into their home in San Diego. I always looked forward.  
I remember the very first time my parents, Melencio Arias and Erlinda, came to California with me,  I was still 3 years old at the time. We visited their home in San  Diego and we're going to take a group picture. I was holding the Polaroid and putting into my mouth. My mom tried to get me to put put it back on the table, but Uncle and Luz said it was okay!  So I had a picture of me when I was three years old playing with Polaroid on the coffee table while the rest of the family group smiled for the camera.   I had a fun time at their house in San Diego, and for the years that followed, always looked forward to visits between Long Beach and San Diego since.
