Luis was always such an amazing person and friend. He was so kind and loving and his energy always radiated towards others. He was one of the nicest people I have met in my life. He was always standing up for others and including everyone around him no matter who you were. Luis was just that kind of guy. It breaks my heart he will no longer be here but God had bigger plans for his life. My deepest condolences to your family. Luis’s memory will live on forever. He had such a precious soul. May he rest in paradise. 

Luis was a wonderful barista and coworker, but more importantly a teammate and a friend. He was kind, friendly, and humorous, all of which made him so approachable and respected by myself, baristas, and guests.  He worked hard to be on our team and could encourage others during stressful shifts. He was a calm and composed leader, yet you could always count on him to crack a joke and lighten the mood. I remember when he swung by to say hello at Starbucks years later and it was so easy to strike up conversation again. We missed him dearly when he left our team and our hearts broke to hear of his passing. We truly miss him. We send so much love and wish his family and friends peace. 

I believe this was on my birthday. My friend Luis would be at every single one my family parties/events, he was someone I loved having around. We would crack jokes all day. But also talk about our goals and how we had this vision of being great. Luis was great friend of mine. 

Luis Pena was a really good friend of mine, I consider him part of my family. He had this energy that he brought that made him unique and made people gravitate towards him. Me and him shared a lot of laughs and good times. I’ve known him more than half my life playing little league baseball with him, eventually ended up playing football with each other with the Bonita Buccaneers, which then led to Bonita High Barons. He was a very hard worker, a really good teammate, a great friend, a role model to his peers. Luis and I would always have talks about our future and would push each other to be great. We would call each other pretty often to catch up and would always talk about the things that really matter in life. He is someone I look up to and will always think of when I need some type of motivation. I miss him so much. He has a great soul and comes from a great loving family, that I know he made proud. 

Luis Peña was an exceptional barista and friend. I trained him at Starbucks and shared one intense shift side by side making quite possibly the worst Frappuccino ever. I will never forget that day! Always made everyone laugh and brought joy and laughter to our shifts. My sincerest condolences.
