He spent the rest of his career at Castle Park High, retiring in June of 1999 as Assistant Principal, Dean of Student Activities. Howard was one of the driving forces that established and maintained the Castle Park Trojan traditions. His passion was to develop student leaders and empower them and generally encourage and mentor students in a most positive way. At his retirement he was honored by the school by being named “Noblest Trojan of Them All.”
He was a loyal and dedicated husband and an awesome father and his love of family was always evident. Camping and traveling with his wife and children remained life-long passions. Summers were spent traveling around the country in their RV.
