Francisca Medina Olfato, 85 years old, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2024, in Chula Vista, CA. She was born on July 24, 1938, in Imus Cavite, Philippines, to Augusto and Socorro Medina. She was married to Alfredo P. Olfato, who predeceased her on January 10, 2024. Francisca was a fabulous cook, an entrepreneur and avid bowler. Francisca was kind, generous and loving to all who knew her—and her family was the greatest source of joy for her. She is survived by her children, Alfredo, Archita and Alvin; her grandchildren, Carinne, Alex, Lauren, Adrian, Austin, Andrew, Christopher and Aaron; and seven surviving siblings, Feliciana, Nenita, Remigio, Esnellia, Florinda, and Adina.
A memorial visitation for Francisca will be held Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Glen Abbey Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902. A memorial service will occur Friday, May 10, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902. A celebration of life reception will occur Friday, May 10, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902.
