Chanel Corrales was born on Spring of May 19, 1993 in Chula Vista. Her parents are Shirley Quintana and Aldo Corrales. Chanel is survived by her mother, Shirley Quintana, father, Aldo Corrales, and brother, Esteban Corrales. Chanel was raised in San Diego throughout her infancy and relocated to Temecula -then relocated back to San Diego in 2011. Chanel also lived with her mother, brother, grandpa Rudy, and grandma Mela.
This beautiful princess came to our lives and was greeted by lots of love and joy. Chanel was a quiet child, had a beautiful sense of humor, and she always carried a big smile on her face. Chanel enjoyed spending time with our family during the holidays; especially, when going out for family trips. She loved camping and learned how to use her dirt bike. Chanel was very close to her cousins - Brandi and Gianni, and enjoyed having fun with them. She was also close to her aunts and uncles, Veronica & Edgar, Michelle & Bu-gee, Sara & German, Mary & Blake.
When Chanel was a little girl she was a cheerleader and was in chorus. Chanel’s favorite sport was football and was always ready to cheer on for the San Diego Chargers. Her favorite food was anything that had Seafood where I can still remember at the age of 3 she was eating Sushi with her Hello Kitty chopsticks that her grandma had bought from Japan. Chanel ‘s past time was listening to music and would dance and sing to almost any song. Chanel made us laugh as she imitated her favorite singers. There was never a day where her mother would not hear Chanel’s beautiful singing voice whether it was in the shower or at church - her main hobbies were singing, dance, swimming and skateboarding. In high school Chanel started wearing makeup and became as good as a makeup artist. Chanel also liked to wear custom made jewelry.
Chanel graduated from High School in 2012, and was in the process of deciding what career path to take. She contemplated in being a makeup artist, but then changed her mind. She also liked oceanography and dance. During the summer she enrolled at Southwestern College and was scheduled to start college in the fall.
This short biography cannot describe how she was, but all we can say is that she was a joy to have around and was dearly loved by her family and friends.
