We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved father and husband, Alfredo Jose Salazar. He passed away peacefully in his San Diego home at the age of 87, surrounded by his family. Our father was a generous and devoted family man. He was a devout Catholic in the Latin Tradition. Born in Lima, Peru on September 25, 1935. He graduated from the National Agrarian University in La Molina with an agricultural engineering degree. Alfredo took a lot of pride in being the first generation of his family to make a new life for himself in America. He made it his mission to bring over as many family members to America as he could.
He met our beautiful mother, Sylvia, in New York. They were married on June 11, 1960 and their inseparable bond in marriage and love lasted more than 62 years. Alfredo loved to travel and explore the world and he made that part of our family fabric growing up. Alfredo is survived by his wife Sylvia, his two daughters Helga and Jessica, his son and wife, Larry and Lisa, his brothers and sister, Anita, Max, and Ricardo, his grandchildren, Adam, Tiffany, Sarah, Jasmine, Ryan, Henry, Gianna, and Sofia, and his great-grandchildren, Amelia, Scarlett, Aubrey, and Octavia
He will be greatly missed by his loving family and always remembered in their hearts.
