Albert Frank Madere was born March 21, 1935 in Reserve, Louisiana to Lucien Madere Sr. and Adele Keller-Madere. Bobby, as he was affectionately called by his family and close friends, grew up in Reserve, Louisiana with his four siblings, three sisters and one brother. He was the youngest of the five children. After completing high school, he enlisted in the United States Army and served 4 years. After his years of Military service, Albert attended Grambling State University in Grambling, Louisiana where obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education. While in college, he met Doris Norman and pursued her for 7 years until the two were married on April 8th, 1961. For a better opportunity, the couple moved to Los Angeles, California. He began a teaching career with Los Angeles Unified School District and worked as an Educator at various schools. In 1963, their daughter, Kimberly Marie was born and two years later, their son, Juan Marichal was born. In 1969, the family soon settled in their first home in Inglewood, California. Education was very important to Albert. In 1971, he obtained a post graduate Master’s Degree in Education at California State University Dominguez Hills, Carson California. A few months following, his son, Brian Dion was born.
Albert Madere loved his wife Doris and he made sure that she was well provided for and together they made a loving home. He was a devoted husband and father. He loved being a teacher and he took pride in teaching young minds. He taught English as a second language to working adults and they were his very close friends for many years. Albert was a faithful member at Saint Francis Cabrini Church in Los Angeles, California. He was an avid sports fan, cheering for the New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Lakers. He enjoyed many years of attending football and basketball games.
Albert loved his brother and sisters. They would play poker on the weekends. He loved it the most when he won and beat his brother and sisters. When asked he would never tell them the exact amount of money that he won because he was so happy that he was the winner for the evening. They would eat great food from New Orleans, laugh and talk about stories when they were children. They were very close siblings and they had a special bond.
Albert retired from Los Angeles Unified School District with 35 years of service and relocated to La Place, Louisiana. There he began a second career as a middle school disciplinarian in La Place, Louisiana while taking care of his mother and mother-in-law during the final days of their lives. He enjoyed the second chapter of life, as he was quite popular in the community of La Place, Louisiana. He was related to everyone there and was loved by his family, students and co-workers.
Albert’s third chapter brought him to San Diego, California where he was cared for by his loving family. God peacefully called Albert home on Monday, December 26, 2016. He was preceded in death by his father, Lucien Madere Sr., mother Adele Madere, sisters Verna Mae LeBoeuf and Delores Matthews, brother-in-laws, Irwin LeBoeuf and Leonard Matthews, nephews, Mallory Matthews and Cyril Le Boeuf.
He leaves to cherish his memory, wife Doris Norman Madere, daughter Kimberly Kodama, son-in-law Clarence Kodama, sons Juan Madere and Brian Madere, granddaughters Briana Madere and Kellie Kodama , sister Wilma Le Boeuf, brother Lucien Madere Jr. and sister-in-law Earline Madere and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving relatives and friends.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who loved His appearing.
