She was born in Wilmington, NC on January 4, 1943 and was the daughter of the late Carl and Vivian Sellars Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Angelo Brown; a daughter, Michelle Brown Freeman; and a great-grandson, Ian Albright
Jeannie loved the Lord and was always thankful to him for her blessings throughout her life and she knew that he was always with her. She loved her family and always did what she could for them. She worked hard all her life doing what she loved to do and that was sewing. Her career began at Block’s Shirt Factory and then she worked for Dorothy’s Ruffled Originals and then at Atkinson’s where she learned to quilt.
She is survived by a son, Angelo “Tony” Brown of Leland; sister, Patricia McDowell, and husband, Dwight, of Leesburg, FL; brother, John Thomas Williams, Sr., and wife, Sandra, of Leland; eight grandchildren, Kacie Gutierrez and husband, Luis, of Leland, David Hannah III, Christopher Long, Lindsay Smith and Husband, Michael, Amy Albright and husband, Danny, Angelo “TJ” Brown, Brittany Nealy and husband, Bryan, Karlie Brown; fourteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; five nephews; numerous cousins and extended family; and three very dear friends, Sarah Register, Mary Simmons and Barbara Britt.
Funeral Services will be held at twelve noon on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at White Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel, 603 Ocean Hwy, Bolivia, with Rev. Susan Craven officiating. Burial will follow in the Nelson Cemetery, Old Fayetteville Rd, Leland.
Family will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
