Lorraine Ruth Cooper

She was born in Long Island, New York on May 29, 1927 the daughter of the late Charles Bertram Blake and Emily Mae Cutter Blake.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over fifty years, James Linwood Cooper; brother, Charlie Blake; sisters, Edna Blake and Millie Andrews; nephew, Little Charlie Blake; special friends, Betty and Stan Spengler, Tootie and Shaver Brown, Leola Pipes; and her loyal pet "Sheba".

Lorraine was a member of the VFW Post 7907 in Poway, CA along with her husband, James. She will be greatly missed.

Surviving are her children, James E. Cooper of Aptos, CA, Richard J. Cooper and wife, Cathy, of Sunset Harbor and Katherine (Kathy) Hartless and husband, Frank, of Las Vegas, NV; one grandchild and several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Naval Memorial Fund or to the American Cancer Society.
