Joyce Laverne Elliott

She was born October 7, 1940 in Columbus County, NC the daughter of the late James Bish and Willa Dean Register Floyd. A teacher by profession, Mrs. Elliott was a retired educator having taught school of 30 years at Southport Elementary School, teaching was her passion and she enjoyed painting projects, that her husband would make and build. An avid reader was a another passion she had as well.

Survivors include her children; son Travis Grant Elliott (Rita) of Holden Beach; three daughters Kipp Snell of Supply; Shannon Patterson (Kevin) Currie NC; Stephanie Menzel (Joe) of Carolina Shores; sister Cheryll Parker of Lumberton, NC; grandchildren Courtney Nygaard (Jesse); Jared Snell (Nicole);Melina Elliott; Dana Stauffer (Shane); Kaitlyn Helmy (George); Alisia Jackson (Nathan); Kale and Kira Patterson, Karter Elliott (Mars) Maya Lindsey, Mahkhi Hewett, Alice and Rosemary Menzel; Great-Grandchildren Loki, Kaia, Maysun, Gavin, Grace, Caly, Skyla, Nalah, Malaya.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; Travis Eugene Elliott; brother James Floyd.
