She loved her family with a deepness that could only be felt by those who knew her best. Her grandchildren were her world, she could be protective but that's what grandparents do. Being outside in her garden brought her much joy. She enjoyed spreading pathways with flowers and was very proud of her rose bushes. She enjoyed fishing, NASCAR and Bingo. She played Bingo all over, from Wilmington to Myrtle Beach. She loved games shows as well. Moving through the day from the Price is Right , to Jeopardy and then Wheel of Fortune. She enjoyed sweets and one in particular was Andes Mints. Her sweet tea was legendary and will be missed.
Joanne is preceded in passing by her parents, Roy and Irene Roberts Graham; her son, James "Joey" Joseph Brown; and her brother, Tommy Graham.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, James B. Brown, Jr.; her children, Roy A. Brown and his spouse Roberta, James "Jimbo" B. Brown III and his spouse "Jay", Jack S.
