Patricia Chimera died on March 19, 2023 at the age of 88. She is survived by her children, sons-in-law, granddaughters, grandson-in-law, cousins, friends and QVC – all of whom will miss her greatly.
She was raised in College Point, NY and sung and danced in every school show. Although she swore she would never marry a man who wasn’t a good dancer, she agreed to a double blind date with a man who was a paraplegic as a result of combat in Korea. It was love at first sight for Pat and Frank. The couple married, adopted 4 children, and resided in Camino Gardens in Boca Raton from 1969 until their respective passings.
Although Frank's doctors had only given him a life expectancy of 5 – 10 years, the couple had over 50 years together thanks to Pat's care and devotion. Pat loved her family, old Hollywood movies, a good laugh, and every dog she ever met. She believed butter to be a major food group and that it, like love and money, should be spread liberally. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and was the heart and soul of her family.
A Mass will be held at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Boca Raton on March 31, 2023 at 11:00 AM. A Celebration of Life luncheon will follow.
In lieu of flowers or mass cards, please donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
