2023. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 7, 1949, to Theresa and Carmine Spera and was
the oldest of 3 children. He is survived by his sister Laurie (Glen) Moegenburg, and his brother
Phillip (Jen) Spera.
In 1966 his parents moved the family to Boca Raton, Florida. He attended his senior year at Boca
Raton High School and graduated as the class of 1967. He also attended Palm Beach Junior
College. He retired from Bellsouth Telecommunication in 2015. He was very active with the
Calvery Church in Ft. Lauderdale and Boca Raton. He loved gardening, watching football, and
car races. He attended the Sebring races in Florida for many years. His favorite holiday was
Christmas and he decorated inside and out with such glory of the holiday. He loved setting up
his Department 56 and the North Pole villages very extensively. You could feel yourself walking
through the display like you were back in time. He also loved doing crossword puzzles, listening
to music, and swimming in his pool.
The celebration of his life will be held at the Calvary Chapel Boca Raton, 1551 W. Camino Real,
Boca Raton at 1:00 pm on January 27, 2024.
