Tena Marie Chandler

Tena Marie Chandler, age 67, of Bloomington, passed away Friday afternoon, June 14, 2024 at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital. Born February 2, 1957 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Rotha L. and Norma Jean (Butcher) Sparks. Tena was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and dining out. She was a former member of the Ladies of the Moose in Bloomington. She married her loving husband, Robert R. Chandler, on January 23, 1976.

Tena is survived by her cherished children, Stephanie (John Martz) Brook, of Indianapolis, Erica Johnson, of Bloomington and Robert C. (Ashley) Chandler, of Bloomington, one brother, Larry (Denise) Sparks, of Bloomington; eight grandchildren, Sierra Plummer, Dalton Wray, Hayden McCullough, Chloe Abbitt, Gracie Johnson, Carly Chandler, Cali Chandler and Caroline Chandler and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert, on August 4, 2014, one brother, David Sparks and one sister, Melinda Jo Wampler.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 22 at 12 noon at the Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Clear Creek Cemetery. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon.
