Mary M. Spears

Mary M. Spears, age 73, of Bloomington, died Thursday evening, July 23, 2015 at Hearthstone Health Campus. Born October 15, 1941 in Draper, North Carolina, she was the daughter of Sam Gauldin and Dorothy (Grover) Gauldin Collins. Mary was an avid bingo player and had worked at Head Start, General Electric, Otis Elevator and R.C.A. She is survived by her four sons; Sam W. “Bill” Spears, David (wife Jill) Spears, James (wife Kelly) Spears and Dennis (wife Beth) Spears; one brother, Calvin (wife Shirley) Gauldin, all of Bloomington; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded In death by her parents, her husband, Clarence Eugene Spears, on October 28, 2012, one son, Charles Ray “Chuck” Spears and one brother, Willie Gauldin. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 12:00 p.m.at the Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene and Harrell Chapel; 700 W. Gourley Pike. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday prior to services from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The family suggests memorial contributions be given to the Hoosier Hills Food Bank; P.O.
