Mary Jane Rader

Mary Jane Rader age 90, passed away peacefully with her family by her side in Garden Villa on August 20, 2019. Mary Jane was born in Bloomington, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late Henry J. and Laura (Snoddy) Evans. Mary Jane attended grade school in Bloomington. Shortly after, she began working at Sarkes Tarzian as an assembler. Mary Jane also worked at Cook, Inc. and Indiana University as a cook. Mary Jane was a devout Christian and was a member of Christian Tabernacle. She enjoyed going to local nursing facilities to play her guitar and sing to the residents. She also enjoyed playing the piano and her accordion. Mary Jane was a social butterfly and loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her great-grandson, Chadd. Mary Jane is survived by her son Jeffery (wife Roberta) Rader, two step-children; Gerry Rader and Jim (wife Judy) Rader. She is also survived by her grandson Jeffery (wife Meghann) Rader II, granddaughter Melissa (husband Derrek) Fairchild, great-grandson Chadd Fairchild and two siblings, John Evans and Betty Lou Love. She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Rader, twin grandsons Justin and Jeremy, two step-sons Cleo and Jerry Rader, her step-daughter Janet Sue Cox and 9 brothers and sisters. Visitation for Mary Jane will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2019 from 4-8 p.m. in Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 E. Third St., Bloomington, Indiana 47401. The funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 26, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. also in the funeral home with visitation one hour prior to the service.
