

Mary Louise Crum, 88 of Harrodsburg died Thursday morning, April 30, 2015 at I.U. Health Hospice House. She was born February 20, 1927 in Harrodsburg to Fred P. Koontz and Genevie B. Hickman Koontz. She had worked at RCA and Sarkes Tarzian.
Survivors include three sons, Donald L. Crum and his wife Cinda of Bloomington, Stephen R. Crum and his wife Dee of Ellettsville and Paul W. Crum of Harrodsburg; four grandchildren Stacy Bottorff and her husband Chris, Stephanie Hart, Laura Inman and her husband Seth and Chris Crum and his wife Courtney; thirteen great grandchildren, Ashley Bottorff, Caitlyn Warner, Tessa Hart, Kyla Terrell, Breanna Hart, Cody Crum, Bree Crum, Drew Crum, Carter Crum, Tory Crum, Zoe Crum, Lucas Inman and Bella Inman; five great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Wilma Banks and Beverly Treat both of Bloomington; a brother, Mike Koontz and his wife Kay of Bloomington; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry Crum; a brother, William “Bill” Koontz; and a sister, Peggy Koontz.
Mary was a member of the Paynetown Pentecostal Church. She was an avid gardener who was known for her great tomatoes. Mary loved to share the bounty of her garden with family and friends; she also loved her Poodles, doing paint by numbers and making quilts and pillows.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, May 4, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, 700 W Gourley Pike, with Pastor Cheryl Crum officiating. Burial will follow in Clover Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 3, 2015 from 2:00 – 6:00 PM and 1 hour prior to services at the funeral home. If friends so desire, Memorial Contributions may be made to I.U.
