Mary Lou (Crane) Corlett

Mary Lou passed away peacefully on August 9, 2021 in the company of her son and daughter. She was born April 2, 1938 in Solsberry, Indiana to the late John and Blanche Crane. Mary Lou was born and raised in Solsberry, Indiana and continued to raise her family in Greene Co. She traveled many miles, for many years throughout Indiana allowing Tod and Renee to compete in horse shows, she was a proud Mom. Mary Lou was always athletic and involved in sports. In her younger years drove in some "powder-puff" car races, played softball, bowling leagues, always looking for a card game, and was ready to cheer on her favorite team in every sport! (She was one of Coach Knight's biggest fans) She was very disappointed she wasn't going to the Indy 500 race this year...always on the go!! After Mary Lou's children moved from Solsberry to Indianapolis she moved to Martinsville to be closer. It was there she found her "Legendary Hills" family. It was a beautiful loving home for Mary Lou for over 30 years. In early 2019 Mary Lou moved to Indianapolis to be even closer to enjoy family gatherings. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Mary Lou is survived by her son, Tod (Leza) Corlett of Fountaintown, IN; her daughter, Renee (Michael) Fogleman of Indianapolis, IN; two sisters, Laura Jean Hollingshead of Alpharetta, GA and Joann Hayward of Bloomfield, IN; four grandchildren, Lindsay Fogleman Dalton, Chelsea Fogleman Scofield, Zebediah Corlett, and Zachary Corlett; three great-grandchildren, Knox and Parker Dalton, and Annabelle Scofield; and many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Keith Crane, and a sister-in-law, Madge Crane. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, August 13, 2021 at Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home. Following the funeral service everyone is invited to a dinner at the Day & Deremiah-Frye Reception Room. Interment will be held at Solsberry Cemetery in Solsberry, IN. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home and prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
