Joyce was a member of StoneRidge Baptist Church. She enjoyed ceramics, sewing, painting, collecting dolls, working in her flower gardens, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed.
Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Roger Lee Purcell; her daughter, Karen L. Carmichael and her husband Jack; her two sons, Michael and Brian Purcell; her sister, Mary Wade; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many other beloved family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Huff.
Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary Greene & Harrell Chapel. Interment will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
