Rev. Janet Carole Robbins, age 81, of Bloomington, died Friday morning at the I.U. Health; Bloomington Hospice House. Born July 13, 1935 in Anderson, Indiana, she was the daughter of Harry and Maxine (Hastings) Shotts. She was a retired elder with the Indiana Conference of the United Methodist Church. She was currently attending Crossroads United Methodist Church. She loved her family and reading books. Rev. Robbins received a master’s degree in Theology with a special emphasis on Biblical History.
She is survived by her husband, Earl Robbins, of Bloomington, one daughter, Sheryl Price, of Cape Coral, Florida, one son, Terry (Linda) Robbins, of Bloomington, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Mike Price and Danny Robbins, two children in infancy, Thomas and Pamela Price, one sister, Barbara Woodward and one brother, Robert Shotts.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene and Harrell Chapel with Rev. Ray New officiating. Entombment will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
