Gerald Levon Robertson, 84, of Ellettsville passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024 in I.U. Health, Bloomington Hospital. He was born March 24, 1939 in Bloomington to Austin Elvin Robertson and Martha Jane Robinson Robertson. He was retired from Bloomington Hospital as the Assistant Director of Maintenance.
Survivors include two daughters, Shelly Robertson of Ellettsville and Cheryl (Glen) Eicher of Bradenton FL; three sons, Brad (Dee) Robertson of Springville, Doug (Sheryl) Robertson of Greencastle and Rick (Alice) Robertson of Parish, FL; eight grandchildren, Brittany Marie (Austin) Showalter, William Brandon (Tawnna) Robertson, Jerald Douglas (Shelby) and William Ray (Lexi) Robertson and Christy Marie Frye, Amber (Brandon) Wright, Keely Cunningham and Nicholas (Jaime) Robertson: 10 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joyce Marie Robertson; a son, Mark Allen Robertson; a sister, Mary Jane McVey; and two brothers, William Perry and Lonnie Elvin Robertson.
Gerald had attended Pentecostal Faith Assembly, he enjoyed spending time with his family, working in his yard and playing music. Prior to working at Bloomington Hospital Gerald had been a self-employed brick mason.
There will be a Gathering of Friends and Family on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM in Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 E Third St. Funeral Services are scheduled for Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Michael Douglas officiating, burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
