Betty Jean Arnold, 75, of Freedom passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on Thursday July 18, 2024. She was born January 22, 1949 in Bloomington, Indiana to parents Ned Langley and Emma Rachel Altop Langley. She retired from Cook Medical as an Accounts Payable Clerk.
On December 17, 1965 Betty married Samuel Arnold and he survives. Other survivors include a sister Judy Miller of Spencer; four sisters-in-law Aleatha Langley of Ellettsville, Linda Langley of Solsberry, Sue (John) Lemon of Ellettsville and Brenda (Tim) Campbell of Solsberry; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Bobby Langley and Jim Langley; and two sisters who died in infancy, Mary and Margie Langley.
She was a recent member of the Highland Village Church and she and Sam were members of Cloven Hoofs Motorcycle Club. She enjoyed sewing, camping and her cats.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Wednesday July 24 at 7:00 PM in Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home 4150 East Third Street, Bloomington with Rev. Joshua Stanger oficiating. Visitation will be prior to services on Wednesday starting at 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Private family entombment will take place in Chambersville Cemetery.
