Aaron D. Cullison, 42, of Bloomington, Indiana, passed away suddenly from a heart attack on October 10th, 2024. Aaron was born July 12th, 1982 in Traverse City, Michigan, to Steven Cullison and Colleen (Bascom) Cullison.
Aaron was raised in Indianapolis and Randolph County where he graduated in 2000 from Union Jr./Sr. High School in Modoc, Indiana. After inheriting a love of computers from his father, Aaron would go on to graduate from the Illinois Institute of Art with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Media Arts, & Animation in 2003. Shortly after, Aaron worked on the Ball State University Electronic Field Trip program, a project that provided “out of class” experiences for students through television broadcasts and webisodes, but that also allowed him to travel around the country with the EFT team until the project closed in 2009. Aaron would eventually find more opportunity as a media developer with GP Strategies in Bloomington, IN for 11 years working on creative and challenging projects for large corporations and government work around the nation. Aaron was an enthusiastic fan of Star Trek, gaming, and anything science fiction or fantasy, and often channeled his creativity into the gaming hobbies that he enjoyed. When Aaron wasn’t spending his vacations with the family he loved, he was also a frequent attendee of the annual Gen Con tabletop gaming convention in Indianapolis.
Aaron is survived by his mother, Colleen Cullison of Lafayette, IN; sister, Leah (Joseph) Wise (and her four children Adelaide, Anthony, Alyssa and Abigail) of Charlevoix, MI; brother, Phillip Cullison of Bloomington, IN; and brother, Andrew Cullison of West Lafayette, IN.
Aaron was preceded in death by his father, Steven Cullison.
Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 19th at the High Rock Church, 3124 Canterbury Ct, Bloomington, IN 47404. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
