A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM, March 20, 2018, at Gibson City Bible Church. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. that day. Eastlawn is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be shared with the family at eastlawn-bloomington.com
Peg was born July 21, 1935 to Clifford and Mary Waddell. She spent her childhood in Latham, Illinois, graduating from Warrensburg-Latham High School. She graduated from Illinois State University and was an elementary school teacher in Mahomet for several years.
She married Robert H. Emmons in 1955 and had two children: Tim (Charlene) Emmons of Sycamore, and Amy Bradford of Bloomington; three grandchildren Daniel Emmons, Chicago, Jordan Emmons, Sycamore, and Mark Bradford, formerly of Tolono; and one great grandchild, Colin Bradford, Urbana.
Peg is survived by her daughter, Amy, sister Mary Ann Prelock, of California, and brother Stanley Waddell, of Decatur, along with many cousins and those she called “family by choice.” She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Billy, her husband, Bob, son, Tim, and grandson Mark.
Memorials can be made to Transition Hospice or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
