Mark L. Hodge, age 59, of Normal, Illinois, passed away at home on Friday July 12, 2019 after a long battle with amyloidosis. Visitation with family will be Friday, July 19, from 11:00-2:00 at Baxter’s Restaurant in Bloomington, IL.
Mark was born February 20, 1960, in Hastings, Nebraska, the son of Herbert and Patricia (McEntee) Hodge. Survivors are his wife Kym (Gould) Hodge, children, Preston Hodge and Makenna Hodge of Normal IL; sister, Patti (Hodge) Kinder of Kearney NE; and nieces and nephew,
He will be remembered for his toughness and fighting spirit, never feeling sorry for himself. He was known for his big laugh, and a passion for sports, especially the Huskers. He attended Nebraska Wesleyan University, and worked at State Farm in Nebraska, Colorado and Illinois.
