She was born May 21, 1930 in Lexington, IL to William and Leona (Smith) White. She married Ronald J. Coit July 2, 1954 and he preceded her in death on July 22, 2012. Her parents, four siblings, one grandson, Ryan and her great-grandson, Princeton also preceded her in death.
Surviving are her four children, Debbie Devine of Bloomington, Rick Coit of Normal, Ron (Kaye) Coit of Farmer City, and Lori Rogers of Bloomington, one brother, Roger White of Fairbury, seven grandchildren, Josh, Stephanie, Stacie, Melissa, Melinda, Sara and Ginni, six great-grandchildren, Peyton, Preston, Grayson, Olivia, Maksden, and Jack. Also surviving are Alex and Katie who were like her grandchildren.
Geneva was a member of the Fairway Knolls Church of the Nazarene in Bloomington and worked as an associate for Kmart for many years before retiring. She loved to spend time with her family especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and special friends David and Janey. She was also an avid Cardinal Baseball and Viking football fan.
Cremation will be accorded and a memorial service will be Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 10:00 am with a visitation one hour prior to the service at Eastlawn Funeral Home in Bloomington. Burial of the urn will follow the service at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in Bloomington.
