Charles Edwin Gordon

Charles was born on December 4, 1919, in Leroy, the son of Homer and Ethel Bennett Gordon. He married Thelma Gordon on August 20, 1972 in Normal. She preceded him in death on July 10, 1990.

Surviving are his two daughters, Jane (Harlan) Hieser of Bloomington, and Bonnie (Thomas) White of MS; 4 grandsons, Brandon (Melissa) Hieser of Bloomington, Jake (Paula) Hieser of Bloomington, Casey (Laurabeth) Hieser of Bloomington, and Scott White of Decatur; 2 granddaughters, Cindy Price and Tammy White, both from MS. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; three brothers; a grandson, Chuck White, and a great-granddaughter, Danielle.

Charles enjoyed traveling, and dancing. He belonged to the Loyal Order of Moose in Bloomington, and the Eagles Club of Bloomington.

A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 23, 2016 at East Lawn Funeral Home, in Bloomington. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens.
