Vanessa Melissa Smith

Vanessa graduated from High School in 1981. She attended Riverside Community College to pursue a career in nursing. She worked several years as a mental health worker. She was the most honest and loving person you would ever want to know. Her sense of humor was like no other, she can keep you laughing even on her worst day. She was very independent, hardworking, loved her family and she had a special relationship with everyone she came in contact with. Vanessa had the most radiant smile that just lit up the room. Vanessa was always happy even when she was not feeling well, she always had a positive attitude.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, James Lee Smith and Dora Lee Smith; and her sister Vonghett Dunbar.

Vanessa leaves to cherish her memories 5 children- Andre Butts of Riverside, CA, La Quita Lowery of Alta Loma, CA, Le Monica Lowery of Riverside, CA, Anthony Russell of Riverside, CA, and Scott Fredrick of Hartford, CT; 2 grandchildren - Anijha Hardin and Dssaya Lacy; 6 sisters-Christine Pollard of Moreno Valley, CA, Joyce Malacon of Riverside, CA, Annette Smith of Moreno Valley, CA, Dorothy Thomas of Riverside, CA, Yolanda Smith of Riverside, CA; one brother James Lee Smith Jr of Riverside, CA
